My Heart on Sale

So I was just sitting by
Wondering all the reasons why
What does one want with a heart?
And my heart, well, it was broken you see
And I didn’t want it anymore

So, I thought
Let’s put my heart on sale

So will you buy it, or are you a window shopper?
It’s not pretty enough to be displayed
But I’ve put a sign board
It’s price on request
The price, my pain

It comes with no guarantees, and there’s no return policy
And I’ve warned enough
It’s damaged enough
It’s broken

But I don’t want it
It serves me no purpose
Except to sometimes hurt me enough to keep me awake

I’ve tried getting a replacement
Maybe it can be repaired?
But I’ve had no luck
And I’ve given up

So my heart, I’ve put it on sale
Are you a buyer, or just a mocker
And let me tell you again
It’s good for nothing but the pain

But I don’t want it
It serves me no purpose
Except to sometimes hurt me enough to keep me awake

So here.
Buy it.
And do whatever with it.
You see, I don’t care enough.
Maybe you can keep it as a reminder
Or you can throw it away
It’s no good I know
But please take it away.

My heart, I’ve put it on sale.
I don’t want it anymore.
It serves me no purpose
Except to sometimes hurt me enough to keep me awake

So, will you buy it?

  2. Your heart is on sale…..
    Packed within a veil….
    I’ll try to buy…..
But will you allow me ?? i am not a nice guy !!

    Its like,
I am a man from beyond the rest,
Likes the pain, within a heart the best,
I am a buyer of all the broken things,
A businessman of love, and the torn up wings :(

This is no fate, no destiny, no end,
That we meet on this tragic end,
I am the sole collector of pain….
The lonesome who suffers for others gain….

So give me all the broken hopes and cries,
    For you, other cherishes lies,
I am the one who has the skill,
To take up all your pain at will. :'(

If the heart makes you ink so well, well, it serves every purpose! No? About time you cancel the sale & start an auction. A blend of free verse, conversation and poetry. Smart writing.
I, thus keep the lazy aside & drop a comment finally.
    Smiles and Cheers!!

  4. Hey there, I really like the concept of your poem. I think it’s amazing. Though, I fail to understand if it’s a sad love poem, or just a poem of a depressed soul.

This poem defo adds freshness to your writing skills..KUDOS!! I like to be optimistic so just few lines:

Sometimes the kind of close we stumble
erases the coordinates, the lines, the world blurs
Sometimes the kind of far we fall
Even the irksome Mars-Venus thing starts to seem believable

    Never Loose Hope!!

    Cheers!!

nice lines.. new perspective..selling of a heart…Your tweets are jovial, your poetry is melancholic. Hmm.. Keep on the good work.

Can feel it, the poem I mean. The emotional pain keeps me going. Yes, I would buy it.

I love the doom and the gloom. Brilliant.
